Using Papug
Papug is an independently operated bird-care service. These Terms cover papug.app and the Papug application. "We" and "us" mean the operator of Papug. Operator information is available on request at [email protected].
By creating an account or otherwise accepting these Terms, you agree to them. You confirm this with a checkbox when you sign up. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
By accepting these Terms you also agree to product analytics in the Papug application, and to the processing of your content by AI providers when you use AI features, as the Privacy Policy describes. Until in-app controls exist, you can ask us at [email protected] to stop either for your account. This does not cover marketing tools on the website, which the Privacy Policy describes separately.
Your account
Provide accurate account details, protect your sign-in information, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. Only access accounts and records you are entitled to use.
Do not use Papug to break the law, harm people or animals, infringe other people's rights, upload malicious code, disrupt the service, or bypass security and usage limits.
Bird-care information and AI
Papug is not a veterinary service. Its content, scores, alerts, and AI responses do not replace advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified veterinarian.
Information can be incomplete or wrong. Review AI responses and records, and correct mistakes. A missing alert or reassuring answer does not mean your bird is healthy. For urgent symptoms or suspected poisoning, contact a veterinarian or emergency veterinary service promptly. Do not wait for Papug or delay care because of an answer it gives.
Your content
You keep the rights you have in your notes, photos, videos, and other content. Only upload information you have permission to share.
You allow us and our service providers to store, process, and display your content as needed to provide the features you use, including AI features you choose. This does not transfer ownership to us or let us use your private photos or messages in public advertising. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for limited retention explained in the Privacy Policy or required by law.
Keep your own copies of important records and media. Papug is not an archival backup service. If you share content with others, they may keep copies outside our control.
Papug's software, branding, and original materials belong to their respective owners. You may use them as part of the service, but these Terms do not transfer ownership of them to you. External websites and services may have their own terms; we do not control them.
Features and payments
Papug is evolving. Features and usage limits may change, and maintenance or other interruptions may occur. We will give reasonable notice of major reductions or discontinuation where practicable and any notice required by law.
Papug follows a freemium model, with free features and optional paid features. During early access, features intended for paid plans may be available at no charge. This access is temporary and does not guarantee that those features will stay free.
When paid plans launch, some features may require a subscription. We will notify affected users before their free access to those features ends. You can choose whether to subscribe; if you do not, you can continue using the features available on the free plan, subject to its limits.
We will show the price, billing period, any automatic renewal, and cancellation and refund terms before you subscribe. We will not charge you for past free access or automatically turn it into a paid subscription without your agreement. Creating an account or accepting these Terms alone does not authorize payment.
Leaving Papug
You can stop using Papug at any time. To delete your account and associated personal data, email [email protected]. You can also ask from inside the app while you are signed in. Sending that message does not delete your account or your information. We may verify that the account belongs to you. Signing out or uninstalling the app does not delete it. The Privacy Policy explains deletion and limited retention.
We may restrict access to address a serious breach of these Terms, protect users or the service, or comply with law. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will explain why and give you a chance to address the issue. Contact support if you think a restriction is mistaken.
Responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, Papug is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free information, or a particular health outcome for your bird.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or anything the law does not allow us to exclude. Your mandatory consumer rights remain intact.
Changes and questions
We may update these Terms and will give notice of material changes. Where required, we will ask you to accept the revised Terms. Changes do not retroactively remove rights you already have.
For questions or concerns, email [email protected]. Contacting us does not limit your right to use legal remedies or contact a regulator. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive class-action rights. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply where permitted by law.
